Leeds industrial history: free event 10 March

Tickets are still available, but book soon to avoid disappointment - it's a free event, and being widely publicised. One of the society’s big events of 2018, run jointly with Leeds Industrial Museum: a day of Leeds industrial history, at Armley Mills on Saturday 10 March, 9.45 am - 4.15 pm. 

Open to all, free of charge, pre-booking essential via Eventbrite.

The four speakers are members of the YAHS Industrial History Section. 

Sheila Bye: Middleton Colliery Railway - the World's first commercially successful steam railway.
John Pease: J & H McLaren - steam and diesel engine builders.
Gill Cookson: The birth of Leeds engineering.
Helen Gomersall: Tanning and the Leeds leather industry.
