LNWR steam locomotive no. 1054 - the "Coal Tank"

YAHS Industrial History Section Lecture.

Pete Skellon, the Collections Manager of the Bahamas Locomotive Society, joins us from Barrow-in-Furness for a not too technical look at the 130 years of social and engineering history which emerged during the recent overhaul of the National Trust's preserved steam engine. To be held at the Swarthmore Education Centre, 2-7 Woodhouse Square, Leeds, LS3 1AD. Non-members welcome - donation of £2.00 suggested. Tea/coffee is available in the Swarthmore café before the lecture.
